The Power of Human Connection [2020]
Standard Chartered Arts in the Park, Hong Kong’s largest outdoor youth arts festival and puppet parade, is an annual youth education programme that provides young people with exciting opportunities to improve their self-confidence and enhance important life skills through the arts. Despite social distancing rules caused by COVID-19, Standard Chartered volunteers take the lead in The Power of Human Connection volunteering initiative. This initiative fosters meaningful connections with others and supports our community from a distance by creating Zentangle drawings at home. Participants are invited to immerse themselves in the art of Zentangle and share their peaceful art and words of encouragement with young people in need.

How to Join
Step 1
Watch a short video to learn the fundamental techniques of drawing Zentangles. Samples of Zentangle patterns, messages of encouragement and font types are also included here.
Step 2
Prepare your drawing card, pen and a calm mindset. Listen to the soundtrack and, on the blank side of the card, create your Zentangle drawing at the same time. You can also repeat the soundtrack until you have finished your drawing.
Step 3
When you have finished, flip your drawing card to the logo side and write a message of encouragement.
